What is Buying Criteria? The Buying Criteria are the paramters used to define the conditions underwhich a book would be given a buy or reject signal. These parameters have been created using the lowest price combined with the sales rank. For further information on sales rank see the following link: http://www.rampant-books.com/ We now support up to 8 steps of minimum pricing and corresponding sales rank
combinations to trigger buying sound. You can choose your desired number
of steps from just 1 step to 8 steps of pricing criteria. For example, if you only
need 5 steps of pricing, you can fill up the first 5 rows and leave the last 3
rows empty.
As an example you will get a reject signal, when you scan an item with following
prices:
How to set up the Buying CriteriaYou can setup multiple pricing templates. DO NOT CHANGE THE CRITERIA ONE TEMPLATE. To setup a new pricing template, click on "Crit 2", input your pricing structure, and click "Save" button. To switch back to "Crit 1", tap on "Criteria Group" from "start menu", click on "Crit 1", and click "Save" button. Once you set up your Buying Criteria you will need to select the corresponding pricing criteria from the pricing trigger page. You can access this option by going to Menu > Pricing Trigger. You then select the corresponding criteria group in the "Current Criteria Group" area.
The following is the link to the pricing trigger: http://www.asellertool.com/ent/Support/pricing_trigger_7.htm No Rank SelctionSome books from Amazon have no sales ranking, (not even 3 or 4 million). To define the No Rank Criteria, select the checkbox next to "No Rank", and then specify an amount (such as"35") in the field next to it. This means if a book has no ranking, then the price needs to be at least $35 for the program to return buy signal. If you do not check the box, then books with no ranking is always rejected. |
