Method Four: Download with a Web Browser (Recommended to use this method only if all above do not work)

Method One: Downloading from PC to PDA

Step 1:

· Connect your PDA to PC (Windows Desktop/Laptop). Use the cable to connect to PDA on one end, and to the PC USB on the other end.

· If your PC is running Windows XP, you will use ActiveSync to connect to PDA

· If your PC is running Windows Vista or Windows 7, you will use Windows Mobile Device Center to connect to PDA

Step 2:

Windows XP: Make sure the word "Connected" is on the screen of ActiveSync. See screen below:
Windows Vista or Windows 7: Make sure you see a green check mark and the word “Connected” in the bottom left hand corner of the box, and then on the right hand side click “Connect without setting up device”

Step 3:

· If you do not have the PC Downloader please download and install the PC Downloader

Step 4:

· Make sure you computer is connected to the internet

Your desktop computer must be connected to the Internet. Try opening a browser and going to http://yahoo.com to see if you can visit its home page.

Step 5: Select the first option - "Get account information from PDA automatically........."

Step 6: Select the first option - "Download Data to PDA directly"

Step7: Click the "Start" button in the middle

Step 8: Download will take about 20-45 minutes. You MUST wait for the "Download Finished" message box, before taking the PDA for scouting.

Congratulations!!! Method One Completed.

Method Two: Downloading from PC to SD Memory Card via USB SD Card Reader

IMPORTANT: When you unplug and re-insert the Socket Scanner and SD Card, please take extra care not to damage them by bending or forcing them in or out.

Step 1:

· If you do not have the PC Downloader please download and install the PC Downloader

Step 2: USB SD Card Reader Setup

1.   Write down your license information: user id, password and license key. (This step is only needed for the first time you download)

a.   Go To ASellerTool program in PDA, click "menu" on bottom left corner, then tap "License" , write down the User ID, Password, and License Key, all are case-sensitive

2.   Close ASellerTool Program on PDA

3.   Remove SD Card from PDA

4.   Plug SD Card into SD Card Reader

5.   Plug SD Card reader into USB of PC

6.   Find the new "Removable Drive" or “Removable Disk” created under My Computer, usually its E:\ or F:\ or G:\

Step 3: Download data

· Make sure you computer is connected to the internet

Your desktop computer must be connected to the Internet. Try opening a browser and going to http://yahoo.com to see if you can visit its home page.

Step 4: Select the SECOND option - "Fill out account information .........."

Fill in the User ID, Password and License Key you wrote down from Step 1 above

Step 5: Select the SECOND option - "Download Data File to SD Memory Card"

· In the textbox for "Specify SD Memory Card Location", fill in the "drive letter" you got from Step 1 above, append "\Data" at the end. It's usually E:\Data OR F:\Data OR G:\Data

Step 6: Click the "Start" button in the middle

Step 7: Download will take about 15 - 30 minutes. You MUST wait for the "Download Finished" message box. After that, follow the steps below in order.

1.   Remove SD Card from SD Card reader

2.   Plug in SD Card into PDA

3.   Open ASellerTool program.

Congratulations!!! Method Two Complete.

Method Three: Downloading directly from PDA

Step 1:

· Connect your PDA to PC (Windows Desktop/Laptop). Use the cable to connect to PDA on one end, and to the PC USB on the other end.

· If your PC is running Windows XP, you will use ActiveSync to connect to PDA

· If your PC is running Windows Vista or Windows 7, you will use Windows Mobile Device Center to connect to PDA

Step 2

Windows XP: Make sure the word "Connected" is on the screen of ActiveSync. See screen below:
Windows Vista or Windows 7: Make sure you see a green check mark and the word “Connected” in the bottom left hand corner of the box, and then on the right hand side click “Connect without setting up device”

Step 3:

· Open ASellerTool program on PDA

· Click on "menu" on bottom left corner

· Tap "Data Download" , see screen below

Step 5:

· While waiting for download to finish, on the PDA screen you should see a progress bar updating at the bottom.

· Download should take from 30-90 minutes, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

· After you get a "Download Finish" message box, your download is completed, and your PDA is ready to go.

Trouble-shooting

· If you got "Resource Assembly" error during downloading, please soft-reset the PDA, and then restart from Step 1 above. If you are using ActiveSync for Windows XP, pay special attention to the screen "Synchronization Setup Wizard", make sure all checkboxes are unchecked. If you are using Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista, or Windows 7, do the same thing for the screen "Setup Windows Mobile Partnership"
