IMPORTANT: The steps below only applies to Dell X5 with Pocket PC 2003, NOT Pocket PC 2002. Do I have Pocket PC 2003? Click here to find out. 1. Write Down your User ID and Password a. Open the ASellerTool program on your PDA b. Tap “Menu” in the bottom left corner c. Tap “License” here you will find your User ID and Password 2. Download Dell Axim X5 PPC2003 Restore and save it to your desktop 3. Copy the restore program to your SD Card a. Connect your PDA to the computer via ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center i. If you use the card reader then connect it to your computer b. Open “My Computer” c. Look for “Windows Mobile Device” or “Pocket PC” and open it
d. Open the folder “SD Card”
e. Copy the file “restore_x5_2003.exe” from your desktop to the SD Card 4. Make sure SD card is in your PDA 5. Do a soft reset on your PDA 6. Tap “Start” 7. Tap “Programs” 8. Tap “File Explorer” 9. Tap "My Documents", or it may say some thing else
10. Tap “My Device”
11. Tap “SD Card”
12. Tap “restore_x5_2003.exe” and follow the prompts till your PDA reboots 13. Tap "OK" 14. Set Date and Time 15. Tap "OK" 16. Tap "Next"
17. After your PDA
reboots ASellerTool should open and will ask for your User ID and Password
then click "ASellertool" icon. 18. Enter your User ID and Password and Tap “Save” 19. Congratulations!!! Your PDA is now ready to start scanning again |
