Connecting the Scanner via Bluetooth as a Keyboard (HID)

1. Turn on the Opticon scanner.
2. Scan the Step 1 barcode to configure this scanner in the HID mode.
3. Press the small square button for about 20 seconds until you hear a beep to indicate the scanner is off.
4. Press the same small square button for about 20 seconds until you hear a beep to indicate the scanner is on.
5. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth screen to scan Bluetooth devices.
6. When the OPN2002_XXX name appears in the list, tap on it to connect.
7. Use the scanner to scan the number of barcodes from the document one by one to match the digits on the pop-up screen.
8. After connecting the scanner, you can scan the barcode into the Scoutly app.
9. Press the small square button quickly to toggle the onscreen keyboard and scanner.
10. To reconnect the scanner to the phone, turn on the scanner by pressing down the small square button for 20 seconds until you hear a beep and see the blue light blinking. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, find this scanner, and tap on it to connect.
11. Scan the beep off command barcode to turn off the scanner beep sound.
