The best way to avoid split shipments is to sign up Amazon Inventory Placement service. You will pay extra for this service, but it will make your workflow more smooth, efficient and save time. Since almost all of your shipments will go to the warehouse close to you. You will save on shipping and offset the Inventory Placement service fee you pay to Amazon. Here are the steps to sign up for Amazon Inventory Placement service:

  1. Login to your Amazon seller central page.
  1. After you are on your Amazon Seller Central page, click on Settings (1), then click on Fulfillment by Amazon (2).
  1. Click Edit (3) in Inventory Placement Option (4)
  1. Select Inventory Placement Service option (5), then click Update (6)
  1. You’ve now enabled the Amazon Inventory Placement service. You can rescan your existing items and Amazon should reassign them to the warehouse closest to your address.
